2020 Benchmarking Food Environments

Summary report on progress to improve the diets of New Zealanders, especially children, and to reduce health damage and costs associated with obesity and unhealthy diets. An expert panel rated the extent of implementation of polices on food environments and infrastructure, supported by the New Zealand Government, against international best practice. 39 actions are recommended, 13 for immediate action grouped into four main areas: Good Systems and Nutrition Strategy; Infrastructure; People’s capacity; Healthier Food Environments.
